Overview
The protection level of air compressor refers to the level of classification
and marking of air compressors according to the International Electrotechnical
Commission IEC standard. It reflects the degree of protection of the air
compressor against various hazards such as dust, water, harmful substances and
electric shock that enter the machine.
The IEC60529 standard is usually used to define the protection level of air
compressors. Common protection levels include IP23, IP54, IP65, etc.
1. Determine the Required Protection Level
Determine the required protection level based on the use environment and
needs of the air compressor. For example, in a humid or dusty environment, a
higher protection level, such as IP65, may be required.
2. Design Customized Solutions
Design air compressor housings and structures that meet specific protection
level requirements. This includes ensuring the sealing of the housing, using
corrosion-resistant and dust-proof materials, and designing reasonable drainage
and dust-proof structures.
According to the protection level Requirements, select suitable motors and
other electronic components, and ensure that they also have corresponding
protection capabilities.
3. Material Selection and Procurement
Select materials that meet the protection level requirements, such as
corrosion-resistant, dust-proof, and waterproof materials and seals.
Purchase motors, electronic components and other parts that meet the
protection level requirements.
4. Manufacturing and Assembly
Manufacture air compressor housings and other components according to
customized plans.
Assemble the air compressor to ensure that all components meet the protection
level requirements and are correctly installed and connected.
5. Testing and Verification
Perform rigorous testing and verification on customized air compressors to
ensure that they meet the required protection level requirements. This may
include dustproof testing, waterproof testing, electrical safety testing,
etc.
6. Provide Technical Support and After-sales Service
Provide necessary technical support and after-sales service for customized
air compressors, including installation guidance, usage training,
troubleshooting and repair, etc.
